Live Event Production Truck Driver w/Class C CDL JOB DESCRIPTION Progressive audio-visual and event production company seek truck drivers to support live events and the production department. The position reports to the fleet manager. Our full scope of services includes comprehensive AV production solutions for corporate, social, live entertainment, staging, technology solutions, and show management. This position is based in Chicago. Nights and weekends are required, and candidates should expect a variable schedule based on show site needs. Some interstate travel may be required. An outgoing personality, industry experience and knowledge of event logistics are preferred. DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Requirements: Ideal candidate will possess knowledge of audio-visual equipment within the event production industry. Proper and safe transport of audio, video, lighting, and staging equipment is required, along with loading and unloading company vehicles. Candidates must also interact successfully with co- workers on-site and maintain a professional demeanor. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Safely drive and operate 26' trucks daily. Familiarity with 26’ straight trucks and their functions Ability to maneuver 26’ trucks through Chicago, including backing into docks, driving under bridges, and turning down tight streets/alleys. Assist in loading and unloading trucks at our warehouse, on-site at venues, or at any vendor. Report any damage or incident to the truck or equipment to Fleet Manager immediately. Maintain vehicle(s) assigned for the day. Take direction from Fleet Manager and other managers on duty. Act professionally at all times while representing Sound Investment. Pay varies hourly based on qualifications, experience, license class, and other distinct variables.
