grow as the company we grow. Reporting to the COO, this person will
be responsible for driving the direction of the organization's
sales strategy and Estimating team. This position requires that you
preserve the core and stimulate progress with an understanding of
the highly competitive Chicago construction market.
RESPONSIBILITIES The responsibilities of the Chief
Estimator/Pre-Construction Director include but are not limited to:
Leadership, Management, and Accountability ---Set KPIs for monthly,
quarterly, and annual goals of the Sales & Estimating Department
---Weekly reporting and accountability, quarterly forecasting
---Function as a critical seat within the CSI 3000 leadership team
---Leads the estimating team's daily initiatives ---Experience
working with a high/explosive growth organization ---Organizes all
team projects and prioritizes focus ---Has experience as part of an
executive/leadership team previously ---Ensures clear communication
to and with the Operations team ---Owns the growth and mentoring of
the Sales and Project Management team ---Ensures the detail and
accuracy of estimating process ---Owns the process of bid
distribution and synchronizes all bid invites with Estimators and
calendars ---Supports all brand marketing, and social media, and
supports strategic partnerships ---Develop and implement client
outreach campaigns ---Ensures focus on specific CSI 3000 niche
market ---Finalize production rates and update costs quarterly
---Update and track opportunities via our CRM system ---Owns and
champions culture of Sales/Project Management team Sales/Business
Development ---Establish, enhance, and support all client
relationships ---Design, develop and execute all estimates with the
requisite communication ---Review all proposals and cost estimates
before communicating with the client ---Owns and reviews all
contract language with scope of work ---Responsible for the
execution of all contract paperwork, reporting updates to
Leadership Team ---Owns all required client communication and
follow up ---Represents organization through client/site visits
QUALIFICATIONS Required ---Has proven, verifiable experience
working with civil or commercial construction companies with
minimum revenues of 15M to 50M+ ---Minimum four to seven years of
construction project estimating experience ---2-3 years of project
management experience ---Will mitigate project risk for the
organization ---Experience in project budgeting and forecasting
---Experience managing a current customer/client base ---Experience
managing the construction procurement process ---Can use
construction takeoff (Planswift or comparable) software
---Understanding of project documents (drawings/specifications)
---Will understand production rates as well as navigate current
commodity pricing ---Experience with vendor relationships
---Experience in contract negotiations, contract review ---Will
know and understand the fundamentals of construction math, reading
plans ---Has developed and executed scope reviews Preferred
---Construction client relationship team management experience
---Proven track record of developing new business/revenue/clients
in the construction industry ---Understands the Chicago
