Job Description:

Broadwind Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst to be based out of our Cicero, IL facility. The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the finance team, reporting to the Finance Manager. This position will be responsible for developing/updating financial models and business and market trend analysis that will help guide business and investment decisions for the Company. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparing periodic financial analysis, including management reports, consolidation and analysis of quarterly forecasts and annual and long-range strategic plans. Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data for driving business decisions - create financial models for decision support
• Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
• Manage the consolidation of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, and Long-Range plans
• Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support
• Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
• Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps
• Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
• Supporting Senior Management Team and businesses with in-depth analysis
• Assist in the preparation of presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management Team
• Assist in the monthly close and ad hoc initiatives that support the business unit's strategy
• Key interface with internal and external audit related to corporate consolidation, and business unit PBCs and analytic requirements
• Prepare internal Flash Reports, and Monthly Business Review (MBR) package related to the corporate office and consolidated results
• Assist the accounting team in developing and monitoring policy and procedures to meet requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley
• Assist and maintain a SOX-compliant control environment over reporting systems, including controlling common chart of accounts at source ERP systems and consolidation and reporting systemsQualificationsAcademic/Experience/Credentials/Certifications:
  • Undergraduate finance or accounting degree and 3 years accounting and auditing experience or financial reporting role for a public company
  • CPA is preferred
  • Familiarity with the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) guidance and codification
  • Strong accounting system knowledge and demonstrated experience
  • Strong MS Excel skills required.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills - know how to get answers and results while maintaining sound relationships
  • Good business acumen and ability to relate business actions to financial results
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information and situations

  • Strong aptitude with ERP systems, Great Plains or TCM a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to gather relevant information; identify key issues/relationships, and to use data analytics to relate and compare data from diverse sources and to identify cause-effect relationships
