We have a large Oil & Gas client in Cicero, Illinois looking for a Warehouse and Inventory Management Specialist to coordinate the loading/unloading activities of the Warehouse Department. Industry: Oil & Gas / WarehouseLocation: Cicero, ILWorksite: On-site (No opportunity for remote work)Work type: W2 ContractContract Duration: 1-year contract with potential for extension based on work ethic, skillset, etcBenefits: Medical / Dental / Vision / 401(k) with matchRate: Hourly + 1.5x overtime pay when applicableGeneral Work Schedule: 5 days a week / up to 45 hours a week totalDaily Schedule: Anywhere between 8-12 hours/day -- Daily start time will flex from week to week, could start the day any time between 5:00am - 9:00am depending on the workloadWeekend Schedule: Required to work up to 1 weekend day per month (notice provided within approx. 1 week )PPE: You must provide your own safety shoes. We will provide hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.Main Functions:Coordinate the loading/unloading activities of the Warehouse Department. Communicates with the Warehouse Coordinator, Yard Jockey, Warehouse Operators, and Truck Drivers throughout the day to maintain an efficient plant operation. Handles administrative duties associated with their area. Responsible for maintaining book inventories, inventory reconciliation, and optimizing inventory levels to meet customer expectations and plant targets. Adheres to and ensures compliance with the Controls requirements under: Controls Integrity Management System (CIMS), site specific Inventory Measurement Plan (IMP), Data Integrity Assurance Framework (DIAF), and the Global Product Integrity Management System (GPIMS). Interfaces with the Blending Coordinator, Warehouse Coordinator, Finite Scheduler, and Customer Service Analyst to minimize inventory losses and carrying costs.Responsibilities:

  • Involvement in Behavior-Based Safety Systems, the Loss Prevention System (LPS)
  • Adheres to requirements as outlined in Global Minimum Inventory Standards
  • Chairs the Monthly Oil Loss Meeting and continuous improvement activities
  • Maintain site physical inventory records in accordance with RMG
  • Coordinates cycle counts on packaged products/bin locations, including creating the monthly list of products/bins to be counted and completing the reconciliation of these products. All reconciliation must be completed in accordance with the GWM reconciliation target expectations
  • Coordinates the monthly tank gauging for bulk products, to include capturing that all tanks have been completed monthly and completing the reconciliation of these products. All reconciliation must be completed before month end close out
  • Reconciliation and processing of Tank Cars/Tank Truck intransit/interplant variations. Reconciles and/or files claims on any variation that does not meet Plant Manager DOAG approval level
  • Reconciliation of Bulk/Package Purchase Orders, material movements, and accounting of unsellable product
  • Resolves good movements that inaccurately affect inventory and accounting of impounded materials and blocked stock
  • Support Operations Integrity Management Systems (OIMS) by fulfilling assigned sponsor/specialist responsibilities
  • Provides input to Warehouse Coordinator for scheduling of work assignments, including overtime to ensure efficient operation with high level of customer service. Provides daily assignments to represented employees and a yard jockeySkills/Qualifications:
    • 10-15 years of closely related professional experience
    • College degree or equivalent on-the-job experience
    • Strong knowledge of SAP material catalogs and search tools
    • Strong knowledge of how and where materials are used in the plant
    • Comprehension of ERP/SAP and inventory accounting/management systems
    • Warehouse management
    • Steward Inventory Measurement Plan (IMP), Global Minimum Inventory Standards (GMIS), and Stock Point Ownership (SPO)
    • Understanding of procedures, work instructions & controls requirements related to warehouse operations
