Year Up is seeking enthusiastic candidates for our Software
Development Career Training Opportunity, aimed at empowering young
adults who are determined to bridge the opportunity divide in their
careers. This comprehensive one-year program provides academic
learning and hands-on internship experiences in collaboration with
leading corporations to cultivate the necessary skills for a
thriving career in software development. We are committed to
equipping our trainees with the technical prowess and professional
etiquette required to excel in the dynamic field of technology.
Participate in intensive, hands-on software development training
sessions. Engage in learning opportunities focusing on a variety of
programming languages and development tools. Work in collaboration
with peers and mentors to complete project-based assignments.
Participate in workshops that enhance professional skills such as
teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. Complete a six-month
internship with a corporate partner, applying learned skills in a
real-world setting. Proficiency in multiple programming languages
such as Java, Python, and JavaScript. Understanding of basic
algorithms and data structures. Familiarity with software
development methodologies like Agile and Scrum. Strong
problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to function well in
a team-oriented environment. Preferably candidates with courses or
certifications in relevant programming languages and development
practices. However, ongoing training will be provided.
