Title: Senior Embedded Software Engineer -- -93313 -
Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position
-Your Responsibilities -As a Sr. Embedded -Software Engineer at the
Global Crop Harvesting Product Design Center located in East
Moline, IL, you will be part of a 6-9 person team developing
embedded software to control Combine harvesting vehicles. You will
be performing software development, testing, and integration to
deliver customer facing features.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance for the software
developers and collaborate with enterprise software groups as a key
stakeholder for the Combine software team
- Develop embedded software for vehicle controllers in C and
Simulink as well as create user interface applications in C++ using
Qt frameworks
- Perform embedded systems engineering tasking including
requirements analysis, operational concept development, software
system design/architecture, component integration, design reviews,
vehicle platform testing and problem solving
- Assign, coordinate, and review work from other engineers and
support personnel. Mentor engineers within the team on embedded
software work.
- Analyze issues and drive for resolution of issues found during

positionWhat Skills You Need -
- 4+ years of demonstrated proficiency in embedded software
development using the following skills: C/C++ programming language,
Qt, Matlab/Simulink tool chain
- Demonstrated leadership capability and project management
skills.
- Strong technical skills in the areas of software development,
hardware integration, and electrical systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Strong, demonstrated problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a self-directed environment and mentor
fellow engineersWhat Makes You Stand Out -
- Proficiency with simulation, plant model creation/integration
and modeling tools (MATLAB/Simulink)
- Technical experience relating to design and diagnostics of
mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems
- Experience with CAN communications protocols such as the J1939
and ISO 14229 standards
- Experience with AUTOSAR and John Deere proprietary operating
systemsEducation -Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent
related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer
