Vent/trach experience - IV therapy experience Description: Critical
care registered nurses provide care for patients with severe
medical conditions. They assess patient conditions and plan and
implement care plans. They treat wounds and provide advanced life
support. They assist physicians in performing procedures. They
observe and record patient vital signs. They ensure the proper
functioning of medical equipment. They administer intravenous
fluids and medications. They perform suctioning procedures. They
collaborate with fellow members of the critical care team. They
respond to life-saving situations using nursing standards and
protocols. They act as patient advocates. They provide education
and support to patient families. Critical care nurses may also care
for pre- and post-operative patients. Some may serve as case
managers and policymakers while others handle administrative
duties. Floating to other units may be required depending on
patient census. Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS BLS PALS
