Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to
provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care for an elementary student with a
seizure disorder. This role requires a compassionate and skilled
nurse to support a non-ambulatory student, ensuring their health
and safety throughout the school day and during transportation. The
position is located in Wood Dale, IL 60191, with the student
attending an elementary school setting. Key Responsibilities: -
Provide individualized nursing care to a student with a seizure
disorder, closely monitoring health status and responding to
emergencies. - Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
- Accompany the student on the bus to and from school, ensuring
safety during transportation. - Collaborate with school staff and
parents to support the student's medical and educational needs. -
Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance
with school policies and healthcare guidelines. Qualifications: -
Valid and current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed
Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN). - Experience working with pediatric or
school-aged children, particularly those with special healthcare
needs. - Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly and
effectively. - Excellent communication skills and the capacity to
work independently while supporting the student and school
community. - Flexibility to adapt to the students daily health
requirements and school schedules. Details: - Location: Wood Dale,
IL 60191 - Duration: Contract through the Current School Year (CSY)
with guaranteed summer hours due to the year-round school calendar.
