Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity offers an engaging role on a 7th Floor Intermediate Stepdown unit specializing in cardiac care. A critical requirement is proficiency in telemetry rhythm identificationessential for patient safety on this true cardiac floor. The position features a day shift schedule with 3 twelve-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, no call responsibilities, and every other weekend off. Key Qualifications and Experience: Registered Nurse license with active status prior to start date; pending licenses may be considered. Minimum of 1 year nursing experience preferred; 2 years cardiac/telemetry experience highly desired. Certification in ACLS, BCLS, and NIH required. Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms (passing telemetry rhythm identification quiz is mandatory). Experience managing cardiac drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Lasix. Familiarity with multiple oxygen delivery modes except mechanical ventilation. Exposure to renal patients undergoing hemodialysis is a plus. Must be willing to float to like or lesser acuity units. Locals within 50 miles are not eligible; candidates must reside beyond this commuting distance. Responsibilities: Provide skilled nursing care on a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio in an acute care hospital. Monitor and respond to cardiac rhythms, ensuring patient safety on this telemetry-focused unit. Administer and monitor cardiac drip medications and manage oxygen therapy. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. Utilize Cerner electronic medical records for documentation.
