Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring an IL RN license, prior travel experience, and 3 years of PICU or CICU background. Responsibilities - Work in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) caring for critically ill pediatric patients - 12-hour rotating shifts with a combination of days and nights determined with unit leadership - Schedule includes every other weekend rotation (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) - Assignment length is 13 weeks with 36 hours per week - Uses Epic EMR system - Travelers are expected to work two out of the three major holidays and the time surrounding these dates - Must complete a 'Use of Cannabis Disclosure and Acknowledgement' form per Illinois law - No block scheduling permitted for this assignment - Maximum of 10 days requested time off, must be made up by extending contract as needed - Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible for PICU roles - Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning - Former travelers must be gone for at least 45 days before returning Requirements - Active, permanent IL RN license required at the time of consideration - Minimum of 3 years PICU or CICU RN experience mandatory - Previous travel RN experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible - BSN degree required - Certifications required: BLS (CPR) and PALS - COVID and Flu vaccinations required - Must provide two references with one from within the last year Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-610593.
