Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Interventional Radiology - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/12/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Illinois requiring an active IL RN license and strong procedural background. Responsibilities - Work in the Interventional Radiology and Pain Management departments of a hospital setting - Level 1 Trauma Center with mandatory floating within Radiology and Pain units, and may float to other departments within 50 miles as required - Day shift schedule: 8:00am – 4:30pm, 5x8s, occasional weekend days - On-call rotation assigned weekly, Monday through Friday (12am-8am), and 24-hour on-call coverage on weekends and holidays - Every other weekend required (2 weekends per month) - Staff required to wear lead during procedures - Uses Cerner EMR system - Responsibilities include assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures and supporting patient care before, during, and after interventions - Scrub color is navy blue and scrubs are not provided - Proof of COVID vaccination is required but booster is not mandatory - Strict compliance with documentation and onboarding deadlines is expected - No block scheduling or special scheduling requests will be approved - Maximum of 5 days requested time off, with no more than 2 consecutive days and no weekend or holiday RTO approved - Parking available for $2/day with shuttle service - Team-based support model is used if floated outside primary specialty Requirements - Active IL RN license required prior to consideration - Minimum 2 years of RN experience, preferably in Interventional Radiology or Pain Management - Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications - Must provide proof of required vaccinations prior to start - Must complete lab work within 72 hours of accepting assignment - Locals accepted if residing within a 75-mile radius Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625662.
