Job Description Job Description Step into a day on our 1st shift
It is 6:00 a.m. and you connect to an Allen?Bradley Logix or SLC
PLC to clear a fault on a stamping press, then tune an HMI screen
to verify interlocks on an annealing furnace. By 9, you have logged
your work in the maintenance system, executed a preventive
maintenance task on a straightener, and begun root-cause analysis
on a recurring sensor issue. Before lunch, you validate motor
control circuits, test continuity, voltage, and resistance, and
document materials used. After lunch, you rewire a panel to prints,
update ladder logic to improve reliability, calibrate instruments,
and support a rapid response to an equipment trip—all while keeping

Troubleshoot and repair advanced electrical issues and perform
essential mechanical fixes on production equipment. Execute
preventative maintenance across assigned machinery and update the
maintenance system promptly and accurately. Diagnose and resolve
electrical and mechanical faults on stamping presses, annealing
furnaces, uncouplers, and straighteners. Modify PLC ladder logic
and HMI configurations to restore operation and enhance
performance. Ensure electrical connections and systems operate
safely and at peak efficiency. Perform basic failure analysis and
launch improvement projects that boost uptime. Test electrical and
electronic systems for continuity, current, voltage, and
resistance. Commission new equipment and sustain legacy systems;
repair large equipment such as industrial fans and large motors.
Maintain accurate logs of labor, materials, and equipment used;
create work orders and provide PM feedback. Calibrate and verify
instruments; respond rapidly to emergencies. Wire machines and
electrical panels to prints; weld or operate a Miller as needed;
assemble gas circuits from prints. Use common shop tools safely,
including drills, saws, sanders, and buffers. How you will succeed

and resolve issues. Communicate clearly with peers, leadership, and

maintaining quality and accuracy. Plan, prioritize, and organize

appropriate actions, and use resources responsibly. Follow policies
and procedures; keep current with new methods, skills, and
technologies. Collaborate across functions and take ownership of
your development. Read job plans, provide feedback, and document
completed work thoroughly. Qualifications High school diploma or
GED. 5 years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial
manufacturing environment. Advanced knowledge of electrical
systems; AC/DC drives; PLC and SLC controllers; and motor control
circuits. Proven ability to troubleshoot high voltage systems
safely. Proficient reading and interpreting of blueprints, circuit
diagrams, schematics, and electrical codes; solid measurement
skills. Ability to perform electrical tests, interpret results, and
diagnose and repair faults. Comfort with technical diagrams;
intermediate math skills; basic computer skills. Hands?on
experience with mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Journeyman certification or equivalent experience. Proficiencies
