Job Description:

Our client is one of the largest wholesalers in the North American region with an impressive portfolio of all the top brands we know and love! They are expanding their business and looking to bring on a Sr. Network Engineer in to assist with escalation support and complex projects. We are looking for a Sr. Network Engineer to manage a multi-site infrastructure and take complete ownership of various network/datacenter projects. You will be a part of a small networking team that encourages each team member to own his/her part and effectively communicate with the team nationwide. You will have support of the Network Manager (your boss!) as well as the Director of Infrastructure- both hands on leaders with a passion for technology! You must know your way around a datacenter and have previous experience with the following responsibilities;

• Lead Discovery for multiple datacenters and document technology appropriately to assist with re-design of the network and upgrading equipment
• Manage, install and upgrade core networking systems related to a LAN/WAN environment and four datacenters
• Act as senior engineer onsite and last point of escalation for national service desk on network related tickets
• Manage and support Network hardware including; cisco switches/firewalls, cisco routers, and wireless access points
• Experience working on wireless projects- familiarity with cisco wireless is preferred
• Manage and support cisco phone system within call center environment (light administration and support, exposure to VoIP)
• Work closely with vendors and local resources to ensure environment is running smoothly and resolve any connection related issues
• Available for on-call rotationExperience
  • 4+ years' experience as Network Engineer/Administrator
  • Solid Understanding of LAN and WAN technology
  • Familiar with structured cabling principles, fiber channeling, materials and installation
  • Experience managing Cisco VoIP phone environment
  • Experience supporting cisco wireless solutions
  • Knowledge of Network load balancing and protocols
  • In depth knowledge and hands on experience with cisco routing and switching configuration
  • Previous experience supporting multi-site environment and multiple datacenters
