Job Description Job Description Position Name: Day Camp Program Support Specialist Status: Seasonal; up to 40 hours/week, May through August Location: West Bend or Saukville Benefit Package Including : Free Y Individual Membership; Program Discounts including Child Care, School Age Care, and Day Camp Flexible schedule; Monday-Friday between 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Day Camp Directors, the Camp Program Administrative Assistant will provide support for all areas of the Washington and Ozaukee County Day Camp programs within the policies of DCF and the Kettle Moraine YMCA. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintains staff files, including tracking staff Professional Development and continuing education, to ensure all staff are up-to-date and in compliance with state licensing regulations. Assists Day Camp Directors in tracking supply and snack expenses. Communicates with staff, families and the general public regarding program information, and registration. Tracks, records and audits rosters/attendance sheets weekly for assigned camp locations Completes and updates schedules, and informational lists, including licensing immunization records of campers for assigned locations. Assists Day Camp Directors in maintaining licensing compliance Submits check requests for invoices as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma Required (Associates Degree preferred) One to two years related experience preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Ability to work independently and with others Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and interpersonal skills CERTIFICATIONS: Bloodborne Pathogens/Child Abuse Prevention every year PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of times. May require the ability to lift, carry, and load equipment, furnishings and program supplies up to 25lbs. Frequent use of a computer and other office machinery. Work is typically performed in a standard work week, but may require evening, weekend or additional hours to accommodate meetings, activities and workload. Requires the ability to adjust focus as needed for reading documents and spreadsheets in written format or on computer screen and related equipment.
